Select the right activities for a successful workshop

Selecting the right activities is crucial for running a successful workshop and obtaining the outcomes you want from the session. 

The decision of what activities to use should be based on your research objectives and the profile of your participants, but the options are endless and writing the workshop script is not an easy task. On one hand, if you don’t have much experience running workshops, it can be a little overwhelming and you probably don’t know where to start writing your script. On the other hand, if you are an experienced professional, it’s easy to end up resorting to the activities you have used recently, instead of considering other options.

That’s why, at Sitback, we have created a toolkit for preparing UX workshops and you can download a copy for free!

The download contains everything you need to get started; the toolkit itself and instructions on how to use it.

All you need to use it is a printer, pen, scissors and something sticky:

1. Print off the template (A3 works best for legibility)
2. Fill in the areas for personalisation
3. Cut the activities out along the dotted lines
4. Stick the activities onto the planner in the appropriate order
5. Run your workshop and have fun!
